Nurses are a vital group of professionals we employ across our services, and as a result the diversity and scope of the roles we can offer is significant. From practice nurse roles through to senior nurses, we offer roles in rural or city GP practices or out in the community in the wide range of communities we serve. See a day in the life of Zena, our very own Community Nurse, doing what she loves most.
We’ll offer you fantastic benefits, consistent with other local providers and give you plenty of opportunity to progress your career whether you aspire to work as a specialist nurse, manage a team, run a ward or something else. Sandra describes her passion for nursing below and why she chose us to pursue her career.
Other critical roles, both registered and non-registered, that without which we would be unable to deliver quality care are Social Workers, Healthcare Assistants, Support Workers and other diverse social and healthcare support roles. We recruit nationally for these important individuals and offer pathways to continuously develop. Joanna discusses her role as a Health Visitor below, and discusses the opportunities she has had in her role too.
To work as a registered nurse within any of our NHS services, you will need to provide your registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). For our support roles you may not need any previous experience. Catherine our very own School Nurse talks below about her role and how the teams she works with support her and colleagues alike.
